Bangladesh Cricket Board has decided to preserve Mustafizur Rahman to preserve for the ICC World Cup 2019 that is going to take place in England next year after the IPL-2019. He is going to be a big name who would not be the part the auction this year that is going take place on the 18th of the December.
Mustafizur Rahman played an important role when Sunrisers Hyderabad won the IPL 2016. He took 17 wickets in 16 games in IPL 2016. But in the subsequent year he only got a single game to play. This year he played for the Mumbai Indians but only featured in seven games before a hairline fracture ruled him out of the tournament. He was one of the 10 players released by Mumbai Indians this year. Bangladesh Cricket Board is not giving a NOC to the cricketer to make sure that he is in his full fitness when the national team wants him to be.
Bangladesh Cricket Board informed Mustafizur Rahman earlier this year that he would get NOC to take part in any of the overseas T20 tournament this year to preserve him for the national team.
Nine Bangladesh player would be the part of the auction this year. Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Soumya Sarkar, Shabbir Rahman, Imrul Kayes, AbuHider, Liton Das and two-Test old Nayeem Hasan. Shakib who is retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad would another Bangladeshi player part of this seasons IPL-2019.
